In-Person Interviewing

NSRC has an extensive history of in-person intercept interviewing. NSRC pioneered an in-home omnibus study that was conducted on an annual basis. For 38 consecutive years, NSRC conducted 1,000 in-home interviews across Cuyahoga County.

Currently we maintain a group of specially trained interviewers who excel at face-to-face data collection. Interviewers are carefully selected for their professionalism and interpersonal skills.

The specific number of interviews conducted during some recent projects are as follows:

  • 12,500 Interviews at a major chain of grocery stores
  • 4,500 Interviews in a county-wide park system
  • 3,900 Interviews at Home & Flower shows and Parade of Homes sites
  • 500 Interviews in a city zoo
  • 650 Interviews at food banks and hunger centers
  • 200 Interviews with people in low-income housing
  • 200 Interviews with shoppers at a regional shopping center

In addition to providing our own in-person intercepts, NSRC oversees mall intercept data collection projects at facilities across the country.
